Costs you may incur when selling a property

  • Fixing minor repairs, internal and external
  • Treating serious problems such as damp and dry rot

  • Cost of advertising
    Estate agents may charge from the commencement of advertising or only on  selling your property depending on where in the UK you live.  Fees can vary, typically anything between 0% and 3% of the selling price or a flat fee.  The fees you pay are established before a contract is drawn up and signed.
  • Solicitors / legal fees
  • Mortgage redemption penalty, only if applicable to mortgage product
  • Mortgage lender discharge fees such as release of deeds and sealing charge
